One day. One hundred countries. One thousand events. The 5th annual PADI Women’s Dive Day on July 20th, 2019 will surely be the world’s largest single day of diving ever. PADI Dive Shops around the world will host events for divers of all genders, ages, and experience levels – creating a global celebration of shared adventure and passion for the ocean. In conjunction with PADI Women’s Dive Day, Bali Scuba will organise an event, “Dive into a Great Cause for Women”, on Saturday 20th July, from 5pm to 7pm, to support Pink Ribbon. Drinks, food, good music and a silent auction await you, where all benefits of this event will go to Pink Ribbon. 300 Bar Dive Center is hosting a two-day celebration of PADI Women’s Dive Day. On July 20th, they invite divers to a seminar series with a variety of speakers – from PADI scuba and freediving instructors, to commercial divers, yoga instructors, and even a national water sports athlete. On July 21st, attendees will participate in a yoga class followed by introductory scuba diving and freediving in the pool. Everyone is welcome. Blue Mind Divers is hosting ‘Donuts and Diving’ at beautiful Lake Pleasant to celebrate PADI Women’s Dive Day. Participants are invited to enjoy a continental breakfast (which of course includes donuts), coffee, and juices before heading into the water for a fun clean-up dive. After the dive, all women will receive a free swag bag and there will be an ocean conservation raffle with 50% of proceeds benefiting Dr. Sylvia Earle’s Mission Blue. Dolphin Buddys have organised an entertaining day of diving, with female divers taking the stage to talk about their hobby. Non-female divers are of course welcome as well, in a friendly diving spot suitable for all ages. There will be talks from female divers, young and old with topics ranging from ‘Starting your Dive Career After 50’, to a panel of young female divers (ages 13 – 23) talking about how they got into diving, and their dreams for the future. Maalifushi Marine Sports Centre at COMO Resort is celebrating PADI Women’s Dive Day the entire month of July. Divers that visit this remote coral atoll are invited to participate in a variety of programming above and below the surface. In-water programming options include boat dives, Discover Scuba dives, night dives, and coral restoration snorkels with an in-house Marine Biologist. Programming options above sea level include marine conservation talks, coral ID lectures, movies under the stars (Blue Planet), and sunset cocktail hours. Divetech invites divers to celebrate PADI Women’s Dive Day by bringing women together, hand-in-hand, in an attempt to break their own World Record for the longest female underwater human chain.
