I have been lucky enough to dive the reef several times and it’s an experience that everyone should tick off their bucket list at some stage in their life. The great thing about the Great Barrier Reef is that I still feel like I have only scratched the surface. I could keep going back to the reef, year after year, and explore new sites and even new regions. As you may know, the reef is the world’s biggest single structure made by living organisms. It’s massive! It really feels like one of those rare places in the world that is still untouched!

The HMAS Brisbane and the SS Yongala also offer some amazing wreck opportunities for divers too! There are also countless other dive sites which are unbelievable, the list could go on and on, but sometimes it better to explore and find these hidden gems yourself!

Nick Lucey’s article on the Great Barrier Reef is a great read and hopefully you can tick ‘diving the Great Barrier Reef’ off your bucket list soon!!
