The Catlin Seaview Survey has captured numerous remarkable images of the oceans for virtual dives. While they are a gem to look at, they are also very important for preserving the oceans as the Survey is creating a baseline record of the world’s coral reefs through these images. The reefs will be monitored over time to help scientists, policy makers and the public see the issues reefs face and the work that needs to be done to protect them.
