The PADI Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have both significant experience and extensive scuba training.
To earn this rating you must log 50 dives and have your PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver certifications, as well as five PADI Specialty course certifications. In 2024, when you complete your training and apply for your rating at a PADI Dive Shop or with a PADI Instructor, the usual Master Scuba Diver application fees will be waived.

How to Apply for the Master Scuba Diver Rating
If you are interested in receiving your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating without needing to pay application fees, it is simple.
Visit your local PADI Dive Shop to fill out the super simple application form. You’ll need to list out the certifications you hold as well as a few bits of personal info (name, date of birth, email, etc.). If your certifications are all from PADI, the dive shop or PADI Professional can help you look up any missing bits of information. If any of the certifications you’re using are from other scuba diving agencies, be sure to bring your certification cards to the dive shop with you when you apply.
