An amazing video from PADI Instructor Joanna Hurford who lives on Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. The video shows the dedication of everyone involved in making a real difference. Over the space of around 10 beach clean ups, this rubbish was collected on Gili Trawangan which is a small island off north west Lombok, Indonesia.
Project AWARE call rubbish and marine debris ‘silent killers’. Joanna, a PADI Instructor at Trawangan Dive, wanted to demonstrate just how many ‘silent killers’ are polluting her tiny paradise. Weekly beach clean ups and Project AWARE Dives Against Debris by staff members and volunteers from Trawangan Dive inspired Joanna to make the video.
PADI & Project AWARE salute the incredible work that PADI Professionals, staff and volunteers from around the world do to help protect our beautiful oceans. Contact your local PADI Dive Shop to find out how you can help on your next dive.
