From 24 September until 5 October, the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES (CoP17) is taking place in Durban, South Africa. Project AWARE will be representing the global voice of the dive community and aiming to bring hope to endangered creatures under Appendix II, including 9 species of devil rays, 3 species of thresher sharks and the silky shark.
