In the early hours of 26th of June 2011 a team of divers including Team Blue Immersions Jonas Samuelsson, Erik Brown, Chris Haslam and Aron Arngrimsson left Reykjavik, Iceland for the Alexander Hamilton a US Coast Guard Cutter that was sank by a German U-boot in January 1942. Lying at 30 miles out and 100 meters down this was the first dive team ever to dive this wreck.
Fast forward to August 2013 and the Team Blue Immersion divers with support of their sponsor OceanReef went back to the Hamilton to lay a memorial plaque with support of the families in honour of the men who are still patrol.
Here is a trailer for their forthcoming video of their journey to Iceland:
The full video will be premièred at the DEMA show this year so stay tuned!
