i heart my padi pro

Congratulations to the winners of the I Heart My PADI Pro 2015 contest!

PADI Professionals are exceptional people, often changing the lives of others through sharing the passion of scuba. To help recognise the great work PADI Professionals do, we asked you to nominate the best PADI Professional you’ve had. Congratulations to the following winners who have won themselves great PADI prizes.

Winner: Nigel Anderson – Taiwan
Voted for by PADI Rescue Diver, Wesley Oosthuizen.

“Nigel is a true PADI Pro, as his love for the ocean and the way he delivers comprehensive instruction to his students is truly inspiring. I was out of diving for nearly twelve years and decided to get back into it by doing my Rescue Diver course and am so happy that after a post I made on a group on Facebook, that Nigel contacted me and saw me all the way through my course and went well beyond the duty of his job as my instructor. I am so please with his performance and attitude that I am now beginning my Dive Master course with him. He is a noteworthy individual who is definitely deserving of this prize. People like Nigel deserve recognition for their hard work.”

Runner Up: Guillermo Antonio García Blanco – Ecuador
Voted for by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Juan Intriago.

“Guillermo is, by far, the best instructor I have found in my diver career. Not only because he is quite a true professional with his teaching and his dive center, but also because he makes you feel as part of his family when diving besides him. He is a truly kind person who seeks for divers’ skills and weak points, in order to make their diving experiences the best of those that we have done ever. Moreover, he is the soul of the party while in our way to the diving site; he makes very good jokes!

Even though I currently have +100 dives, I have fears and doubts regarding certain skills yet (e.g. mask removal, SMB deployment and so forth), and Guillermo gave me enough confidence to speak about those. Furthermore, he encourages me to address adequately those flaws with his help whilst diving. He is not only an excellent instructor, but also a real friend.”

Runner Up: Osman G. Mohmmed – Egypt
Voted for by PADI Open Water Diver, Olha Masyuk.

“My Instructor Osman is really amazing person. During my training:

  • When I was afraid – he was next to me to help overcome it
  • When I cried – he comforted me
  • When I got crazy – he waited until I calm down
  • When I could not do some exercise – he patiently repeated again and again.
  • He was praising me, encouraging me, happy for my little and big success together with me, he was an example for me.

Thanks to his love to the sea, to his dedication to his job, his unreal patience – I fall in love with diving for ages. He taught me to enjoy the beauty of underwater world.

I would love to have such a good friend not only in diving but in everyday life as well.

I am so looking forward to my unbelievable diving during AOWD, Night Diving, Wreck Diving.”

Congratulations to all nominated PADI Professionals!
