More than 3,000 water enthusiasts submitted video footage, edited clips, and created stories for the PADI x GoPro Evolution Video Contest in 2019. This three part series featured entries that captured the imagination and demonstrated passion for adventure and the ocean. Three first place prizes of $2,000 USD were awarded and runner ups received a GoPro package consisting of a HERO7 Black, Super Suit and Adventure Kit.

After sorting through submissions sent in from all around the world, we present you the final winners of each phase the contest:

Capture + Edit | Phase 3

Marie Abe from Japan was awarded first place for the final leg of the contest for her video showcasing the sea of Ishigaki Island.

Patricia Cabral of the United States claimed first place for her creative edit of clips provided by GoPro for the Edit portion of the contest.

Capture | Phase 1

Kyoko Otsuki won the Capture portion of the contest for her amazing footage of a barracuda tornado in Indonesia.
