As we reflect on 2021, we are proud of what have achieved in conservation together so far.
First and foremost, we officially launched the PADI AWARE Foundation and set a bold conservation plan with the PADI Blueprint for Ocean Action. Here are a few other stand outs thanks to our donors and actions taken by Torchbearers just like you:
- Released second scientific publication, advancing groundbreaking research on marine debris
- PADI divers removed and reported over 100,000 pieces of debris and aided over 600 entangled marine animals through Dive Against Debris
- Celebrated our fourth annual global AWARE Week with conservation actions in over 20 countries
- PADI Mission Hubs rallied to protect vulnerable shark species in Brazil and South Africa
- Through the generosity of our donors, received enough donations to launch the Mission Hub Community Grant Program in November this year
Thanks to all the PADI Torchbearers who have helped us achieve our mission thus far. We are looking forward to sharing even more impacts at the end of the year.
