Anytime. Anyplace. Anyone. The PADI AWARE Specialty course is open to all ocean enthusiasts who want to create a cleaner and healthier blue planet.

The course’s objective is simple: to learn and implement tips to save the ocean. Because the ocean doesn’t need us; we need the ocean. And right now, the ocean needs protecting.

If you care about marine conservation and want to do something to help, here’s why the PADI AWARE Specialty should be your next course.

1. It’s Short and Open to All

The PADI AWARE Specialty Course is a half-day course with no entry requirements or age limit. Divers and non-divers alike are welcome to enroll.

Plus, the flexibility of the course ensures the best learning experience as you can complete the eLearning portion of the course online, at home or while traveling. Then, you’ll meet with a PADI Pro to complete the workshop portion. This should only take a couple of hours and can be done in person or over video call.

2. It’s a Chance To Develop Your Skills

During the course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize key ocean threats
  • Use the “10 Tips to Save the Ocean”
  • Engage in conservation action for global impact
  • Become an eco-tourist
  • Build a responsible, conservation-focused media presence to inspire action

And if you’re a diver, you will also learn how to improve your buoyancy and take underwater photos and videos without disturbing marine life.

Combined, these components will help you enjoy the time you spend in and out of the water in a sustainable manner.

3. It Improves Your Ocean Awareness

Once you realize how delicate the marine ecosystem is, you appreciate its beauty even more. Imagine the vibrant marine life, the colorful corals and everything else that hides beneath the surface disappearing. The cause?

Our planet is under a lot of stress, which is why the PADI Aware Specialty should be your next course, as you’ll better understand how our oceans work, the environmental threats and how you can help.

Remember, implementing sustainable habits in and out of the water is the only way you can help mitigate the damage of climate change.
